PR No. 167

Clarification Regarding Misleading Social Media Post Alleging Irregularities in CSS-2026 Examination Answer Sheets Islamabad: August 13, 2026

The attention of the Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has been drawn to a post circulating on social media alleging that answer sheets pertaining to the CSS-2026 examination have gone missing, that the record maintained by the Secrecy Wing and Exam Cell is incomplete, and that certain coaching academies are colluding to manipulate seat allocations at examination centres in favour of their candidates.

The Commission categorically rejects these allegations as baseless, factually incorrect, and a concocted narrative motivated by ulterior objectives aimed at undermining the credibility of FPSC and the CSS examination system.

The receipt, counting, safe custody, and issuance of examination answer sheets at FPSC is governed by a robust, multi-tiered chain-of-custody mechanism operating under the Secrecy Wing and Exam Cell, involving verification, documentation, and supervisory oversight at every stage. The number of answer sheets received from every examination centre is recorded and cross-checked under the supervision of designated responsible officers, and no discrepancy, complaint, or irregularity in this regard exists on record.

The Commission further clarifies that there is no possibility whatsoever of any coaching academy or third party influencing or altering seat arrangements of candidates, as the formation of examination centres, roll number plans, and seating arrangements is carried out through a fully automated and transparent process, without any scope for manual interference.

FPSC remains firmly committed to the principles of transparency, merit, and impartiality across all stages of its examination process. The Commission has consistently taken prompt and transparent action whenever any verified complaint has been received. All candidates and members of the public are advised not to be misled by such unverified and motivated campaigns, and to rely solely on official information issued through FPSC's authentic channels.

The Commission reserves the right to pursue appropriate legal action against those responsible for spreading such baseless propaganda.
