Jazz and Telenor have made 50% payment for renewal price (Rs. 35.2 billion by Jazz and $ 224.6 million by Telenor) of their cellular license. On the recommendations of Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, federal cabinet, on May 9, 2019, had issued a policy directive for renewal of these licenses. These foreign companies have showed confidence in Pakistan telecom sector/market and government policies. *****
