Mr. Abdul Razak Dawood, Adviser to Prime Minister on Commerce, Textile, Industries & Production and Investment had a consultative meeting with the Adviser to the Prime Minister on Climate Change, Mr. Malik Amin Aslam. The Adviser on Industries & Production stressed upon the importance of controlling emissions for better environment and to embark on a journey towards clean and green growth. He said that the up-coming E-vehicle Policy will be implemented under the broader auspices of the Auto Development Policy (ADP), 2016-21, after consultation with concerned stakeholders. The aim is to also incorporate global best practices, aligned with the best interest of Pakistan’s industry, to strengthen the country’s industrial base. The Adviser on Industries & Production concluded the meeting on the principle that Ministry of Industries & Production will formulate a comprehensive E-vehicle policy that addresses environmental issues and also promotes healthy competition in the auto-sector along with viable options for consumers at each price point. *****
