A delegation of Ministry of Defence Production headed by Rana
Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Defence Production is on four days
visit to Kiev Ukarine to attend XIV International Specialized Exhibition “Arms
and Security-2017” on the invitation of Minister of Defence of Ukraine General
Stepan Poltorak. The delegation is comprised of Maj Gen Tariq Ghafoor,
Additional Secretary Ministry of Defence Production and Lt. General Muhammad
Naeem Ashraf Chairman Heavy Industries Taxila.
The delegation attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition
and visited stalls of exhibitors. Secretary of the National Security and
Defense Council of Ukraine "Mr. Oleksandr Turchynov" inaugurated the
opening ceremony of the XIV International Specialized Exhibition “Arms and
Security-2017”
Minister also
held meeting with Mr. Oleg Gladkovskiy First Deputy Secretary of National
Security and Defence Council of Ukraine/ Chairman Interagency Commission on
Military- technical Cooperation and Export Control of Ukraine. They discussed
to explore the new avenues to enhance the bilateral relations especially in the
field of defence production for joint venture with Heavy Industries Taxila and
Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works. A number of important issues of
mutual interest were discussed during the meeting. Rana Tanveer Hussain
mentioned that the bilateral ties between the Defense industries of the two
countries have strengthened over a period of twenty years. We would like to
further enhance this collaboration.
