Federal Minister for Board of Investment (BOI), Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh visited Cadet College Malir today on the invitation of Principal Cadet College Malir Khuzema Gohar. Upon his arrival, the Federal Minister was accorded a warm welcome and an impressive ceremonial salute by the cadets.
The visit provided an opportunity for the Federal Minister to interact with the cadets and faculty members and to appreciate the institution’s efforts towards providing quality education and comprehensive training to young students. Prince Hayat Khan, former Member of the National Assembly Kanwar Qutubuddin, Shahid Umar and renowned social personality Nafees Haider were also present on the occasion.
Addressing the cadets, Federal Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said that Pakistan’s youth are among the country’s most valuable assets and that investing in their education, character and leadership is essential for the country’s future. He emphasized that educational institutions must go beyond academic learning and focus on discipline, character building, patriotism, confidence and leadership skills among young people.
The Federal Minister said that Pakistan’s young generation would also have an important role in the country’s economic transformation by contributing to innovation, entrepreneurship and investment-led growth. He said the government is working to create a more conducive environment for investors by facilitating businesses, reducing unnecessary regulatory barriers and promoting investment across key sectors of the economy. He emphasized that sustainable investment, industrial development and increased economic activity are essential for creating employment opportunities for the country’s youth and ensuring a stronger and more prosperous Pakistan.
Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said that the younger generation would play a central role in shaping Pakistan’s future and called for providing them with an environment where they could develop their intellectual abilities, leadership qualities and sense of responsibility. He said that institutions such as Cadet College Malir have an important role in preparing young Pakistanis to serve the country with dedication, discipline and integrity.
Referring to the Marka-e-Haq, Federal Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said that Pakistan’s armed forces had played an important role in defending the country and presenting Pakistan’s position effectively at the international level. He paid tribute to Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, for his leadership and role in matters relating to national defence and in highlighting Pakistan’s position before the international community.
Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh said that national security, economic development and a strong international standing are interconnected and that Pakistan’s progress requires a confident, educated and disciplined younger generation. He said the country’s youth must be equipped with knowledge, skills and leadership capabilities to contribute meaningfully to national development.
The Federal Minister appreciated the educational and training system of Cadet College Malir and said that institutions of this nature play an important role in developing confidence, discipline, character and leadership qualities among students. He expressed appreciation for the efforts of the college administration and faculty in providing cadets with opportunities for academic, physical and personal development.
Earlier, Principal Cadet College Malir Khuzema Gohar welcomed Federal Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh and the distinguished guests and briefed them on the college’s educational, training and co-curricular activities. He highlighted the institution’s efforts to provide cadets with a balanced educational and training environment aimed at developing their academic abilities, discipline and leadership skills.
The Federal Minister appreciated the role of Cadet College Malir in nurturing young talent and encouraged the cadets to pursue excellence in their studies, maintain discipline and uphold the values of responsibility, integrity and service to the nation.
