Managing Director Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM), Senator Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt, has called upon the organization’s employees to discharge their responsibilities with professionalism, dedication and a renewed commitment to serving Pakistan’s most vulnerable citizens. He was speaking at a special Independence Day ceremony held at the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal headquarters in Islamabad. Employees from the head office attended the ceremony, while staff from provincial and regional offices participated through an online link.
Paying tribute to the persons whose sacrifices contributed to the creation of Pakistan, Senator Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt said that the dignified never forget their heroes. He stressed that safeguarding independence and building a prosperous Pakistan require national unity, a resilient economy, scientific and technological capability, and strong and courageous defence force. The Managing Director said Pakistan’s armed forces had demonstrated their professional capabilities during the recent Marka-e-Haq, earning recognition internationally. He said the country’s continued standing as a sovereign, dignified and independent state was a source of pride for the nation.
Highlighting Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement, Senator Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt said the country’s role in facilitating efforts toward the resolution of the United States-Iran dispute reflected Pakistan’s constructive contribution to regional and international peace. He also described the recently concluded Makkah Joint Defence Agreement as an important milestone reflecting Pakistan’s achievements on both the diplomatic and defence fronts. “These historic achievements are a source of pride for the people of Pakistan and remind us of the responsibility that comes with independence,” the Managing Director said.
Congratulating employees who had recently been promoted, Senator Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt assured the staff that their long-standing and legitimate grievances would be considered and addressed in accordance with the law and applicable rules. He further directed employees to make the welfare of deserving and underprivileged Pakistanis the foremost priority of their professional responsibilities. He emphasized the need for hard work, integrity, compassion and professional excellence in delivering services to those who depend on Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal.
The ceremony concluded with the cutting of an Independence Day cake by the Managing Director alongside Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal employees, marking the occasion with a renewed pledge of service to the nation.
