August 5 marks a grim chapter in history—one that neither the people of Kashmir nor the Pakistani nation would ever forget. On this day in 2019, India took an illegal and unilateral step to strip Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) of its special status. This constitutional robbery was a deliberate attempt to engineer demographic change and reduce Kashmiris to a minority on their own native soil by granting outsiders the right to acquire land. India must know that this sinister design will never succeed.
This oppression is not new; it stems from the controversial "accession" of October 1947, which robbed Kashmiris of their fundamental right to self-determination. Yet, despite decades of state-sponsored tyranny, grueling lockdowns, and relentless efforts to alter geography, India has utterly failed to extinguish the Kashmiris' unyielding spirit of freedom.
To my Kashmiri brothers and sisters: you are not alone in this trial. Every single citizen of Pakistan, along with the full force of the state, stands shoulder to shoulder with you—today and always. The right to self-determination is a guaranteed right under UN Security Council resolutions, and until it is realized, Pakistan's unreserved moral, political, and diplomatic support to our Kashmiri brothers and sisters will continue. No matter how long the dark night of tyranny lasts, the dawn of truth and justice is inevitable.
Kashmir will become Pakistan
Long Live Pakistan.
