PAKISTAN BAIT-UL-MAL AND TIKA LAUNCH CENTRALIZED KITCHEN TO SERVE HUMANITY Islamabad: June 30, 2026

Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, in collaboration with the Republic of Türkiye’s leading social welfare organization, Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), has announced the establishment of a Centralized Kitchen dedicated to serving humanity. The initiative was formalized through a memorandum of understanding signed at Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal headquarters.

In the presence of Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in Pakistan, H.E. Dr. Irfan Neziroglu, Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, Senator Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt and TIKA’s Country Head, Ms. Saliha Tuna signed MoU documents. TIKA’s Deputy Coordinator Ismail Nazliay, Technical Program Officer Waqas Bashir, and other senior officials of PBM were also present on the occasion.

Speaking at the event, Turkish Envoy H.E. Irfan Neziroglu highlighted the unique brotherly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, emphasizing the tradition of mutual support during challenging times. He commended TIKA’s social services spanning over 16 years and endorsed Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal’s pro-poor initiatives, assuring continued cooperation in the future.

Managing Director PBM Senator Captain Shaheen Khalid Butt expressed gratitude to the Ambassador and praised his compassion for the people of Pakistan. He reaffirmed that Pakistan-Türkiye relations are rooted in brotherhood, sincerity, and affection. He noted that the Centralized Kitchen will prepare up to 15,000 hygienic meals daily, which will be distributed to underprivileged individuals through Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal’s mobile vans and shelter homes. He also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to TIKA’s Management for proactive approach in extending the generous support to PBM in carrying out variety of pro-poor services.

TIKA’s Country Head, Saliha Tuna, underscored the importance of the project, expressing confidence that it will provide high-quality meals to thousands of people in need.

This modern and automated kitchen represents a significant step forward in social protection, strengthening the hopes of Pakistan’s most vulnerable communities and easing their daily lives. Both institutions expressed optimism about expanding cooperation in the future to further enhance social welfare initiatives.
