The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Farid Ahmadov, arrived in Pakistan on a two-day official visit along with a high-level delegation. The visit was undertaken at the invitation of Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar and organized by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Pakistan?? as part of efforts to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in the legal and judicial sectors between Pakistan and Azerbaijan. The distinguished guests have been accorded the status of State Guests by the Government of Pakistan, reflecting the longstanding brotherly relations and mutual trust between the two countries.

During the visit, the Azerbaijani delegation toured important national, historical, and cultural landmarks of Pakistan. The delegation visited Lok Virsa Museum, where they were briefed on Pakistan’s rich cultural heritage, traditions, and regional diversity. The delegation also visited Pakistan Monument and laid a floral wreath at the national monument to pay tribute to the heroes and martyrs of Pakistan.

The Minister of Justice of Azerbaijan, Farid Ahmadov, accompanied by Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar and Minister of State for Law and Justice Barrister Aqeel Malik, visited the Supreme Court of Pakistan and met the Chief Justice of Pakistan. During the meeting, matters relating to judicial and legal cooperation, institutional linkages, and issues of mutual interest were discussed.

The delegation also visited the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan, where they met the Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court. Discussions were held regarding judicial systems, legal reforms, and cooperation between legal institutions of both countries.

The Azerbaijani delegation further visited the National Assembly of Pakistan and witnessed the proceedings of the National Assembly session, where members warmly welcomed the distinguished guests. Subsequently, Federal Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar accompanied the delegation to the National Assembly Museum and briefed them on the constitutional, parliamentary, and democratic history of Pakistan.

The visit reflects the enduring friendship and brotherly ties between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and is expected to further strengthen cooperation in the legal, judicial, and institutional spheres between the two countries.
