SUPREME COURT OF PAKISTAN ISSUES COMPENDIUM OF STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURES

Islamabad: May 5, 2026

The Supreme Court of Pakistan has issued a consolidated Compendium of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure greater efficiency, transparency, and uniformity in judicial and administrative functions.

Prepared with the approval of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan, the Compendium brings together SOPs, office orders, and policy guidelines across case management, public facilitation, internal governance, protocols, and infrastructure and operational management.

It standardizes key processes, including case fixation, timelines for case processing, digitization and e-filing, early hearing mechanisms, and handling of jail petitions, aimed at improving efficiency and reducing delays.

The Compendium also strengthens litigant facilitation and grievance redressal mechanisms, while introducing structured administrative and safety protocols to support uninterrupted and effective court operations.

The initiative reflects the Supreme Court’s commitment to institutional strengthening, process standardization, and efficient, citizen-centric justice delivery.

The full text of the Compendium is available on the official website of the Supreme Court of Pakistan at www.supremecourt.gov.pk.
