Ensuring dignified and respectful delivery of assistance to beneficiaries is our top priority under the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif: Syed Imran Ahmed Shah

Federal Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety, Syed Imran Ahmed Shah, has said that under the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, ensuring that beneficiaries receive their due rights with dignity and respect through a digital system is the government’s foremost priority. He added that the government is undertaking historic initiatives in the health and social protection sectors to serve humanity.

He expressed these views while speaking during his visit to the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) office in Kasur on Monday.

The Federal Minister stated that the government is actively implementing historic measures in the health and social protection sectors to serve underprivileged segments of society. In line with the Prime Minister’s vision, delivering financial assistance to beneficiaries through a transparent and efficient digital system remains a key priority.

He described the national poverty alleviation program as a new chapter in the country’s economic history and reaffirmed that the government will not abandon deserving individuals and will continue providing financial assistance.

The Minister further highlighted that modern facilitation centers have been established under the Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal, where deserving patients are being provided comprehensive medical facilities under one roof.

Reiterating the government’s commitment, he said that merit and transparency will be ensured in all federal programs at every level.

Syed Pir Imran Ahmed Shah also directed that the provision of SIM cards be made fully transparent so that BISP beneficiaries can conveniently receive their payments through mobile wallets.

Earlier, the Federal Minister visited various sections of the BISP office in Kasur and expressed satisfaction over the mechanisms in place for delivering financial assistance to beneficiaries.
