In continuation of the press release dated 13.04.2026, Pakistan Customs, after conducting further inquiry/investigations into the silver swap case, has found evidences indicating direct involvement, negligence and inefficiency of few other officers and officials of Customs. Resultantly a Collector of customs an officer of BS-20, deputy collector of customs BS-18 and an assistant collector of customs BS-17 and three officers of BS-16 have also been placed under suspension by the respective competent authorities. Meanwhile criminal investigation is also under process and those found directly involved in the crime be criminally charged in the FIR No 01 dated 13.04.2026. The other beneficiaries in the crime have also been identified and shall be brought to justice with full force of law.
Three new officers have been posted to Collectorate of Customs enforcement Quetta to replace the old team in order to ensure independent and swift investigations.
New Collector and Additional Collector have already assumed their official charges at Quetta.
FBR reiterates its strong resolve of zero tolerance against corruption and it is a clear policy that every officer/official found involved in corrupt practices shall face strict disciplinary action irrespective of the scale and position.
