Message from the Federal Minister for Law & Justice and Human Rights, Senator Azam Nazeer Tarar on Kashmir Solidarity Day 2026

Islamabad: February 04, 2026

On this Kashmir Solidarity Day, we reaffirm Pakistan’s steadfast support for the people of Jammu and Kashmir in their just struggle for freedom, dignity and human rights. The Kashmiri people have endured decades of oppression and injustice, yet their resilience and resolve remain unbroken.

The people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) continue to face systemic repression, denial of fundamental rights and widespread human rights violations. Pakistan remains committed to raising their voices on every international forum, highlighting their plight and advocating for a peaceful and just resolution.

The right to self-determination is not negotiable; it is a fundamental principle recognized by the United Nations and the international community. No oppression can extinguish the legitimate aspirations of a people seeking freedom. We call upon the global community to take a principled stand, uphold justice and work to end the suffering of innocent Kashmiris.

Today, as we pay tribute to the sacrifices of the Kashmiri people, we reaffirm that Pakistan stands with them today, tomorrow and always until their voices are heard, their rights are restored and justice prevails.
