The cultural delegation from the Republic of Tajikistan, headed by Her Excellency Ms. Sattoriyon Matlubakhon Amonzoda, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tajikistan, will visit Pakistan from 17 to 23 December 2025. The delegation is accompanied by Mr. Makhsumov Mehrubon, Senior Specialist, International Relations Department, Ministry of Culture, Tajikistan. Comprising eminent cultural figures including artists, actors, writers, dancers, and other cultural practitioners, the delegation represents the rich diversity of Tajikistan’s cultural heritage. The delegation is scheduled to arrive at Islamabad International Airport on 17 December 2025. The visit is being organized by the National Heritage & Culture Division (NHCD) in collaboration with the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) and Lok Virsa, with the objective of strengthening bilateral cultural cooperation, promoting people-to-people contact, and enhancing mutual understanding between Pakistan and Tajikistan. The programme will commence in Islamabad with the delegation’s visit to the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA). The itinerary further includes a visit to the Lok Virsa Museum and a bilateral meeting between H.E. Ms. Sattoriyon Matlubakhon Amonzoda and the Federal Minister for National Heritage & Culture, Mr. Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, focusing on avenues for enhanced cultural collaboration. Subsequently, the delegation will take part in a series of activities at PNCA, including a media interaction involving ministers from both sides, an art exhibition, and a formal programme featuring welcome addresses by senior officials, and Ministers. The day’s proceedings will culminate in mutual cultural performances by Pakistani and Tajik artists, highlighting shared traditions and artistic expressions. The cultural engagements will continue at Lok Virsa with a screening of the Tajik film “Rustam and Suhrob”, followed by the Opening Ceremony of the Cultural Week of Tajikistan in Pakistan. The ceremony will include a craft exhibition and cultural performances, showcasing Tajik artistic traditions. During the visit, the Hon’ble Minister will also tour the Craft Bazaar and Ethnology Museum, providing an opportunity to highlight Pakistan’s indigenous crafts and cultural heritage. Lok Virsa will further host a dedicated cultural performance by the Tajik delegation, followed by Pakistan–Tajikistan mutual cultural performances, reinforcing artistic collaboration and cultural exchange between the two countries. The delegation will later proceed to Lahore, where cultural performance at Shalimar Bagh, showcasing Pakistani and Tajik artistic traditions in a historic setting, will be a highlight. The visit is expected to significantly contribute to the promotion of cultural diplomacy, deepen bilateral cultural ties, and lay a strong foundation for sustained cooperation between Pakistan and Tajikistan in the fields of arts, heritage, and cultural exchange.
