A two-day Russia-Pakistan Eurasian Forum 2025 is being held from 16-17 December 2025 at University of World Civilization (UWC) in Moscow, Russia. The event, under the auspices of Pakistan Embassy Moscow, Russia, is being co-organized by Consortium of Asia Pacific Eurasian Studies (CAPES), University of World Civilization, Russia, Federal Urdu University of Arts, Sciences and Technology, Pakistan.
Senator Mushahid Hussain, a leading voice of Foreign Policy of Pakistan, Dr. Maria Sultan, Chairperson and President of SASSI University, Dr. Shabana Fayyaz from QAU, Mr. Alexey Pavlovsky, Director Second Asia, Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Andrei Baklanov, former Russian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ambassador Albert Khorev, Russian Ambassador to Pakistan, Ambassador Igor Khalevinsky, Dr. Prokhor Tebin from HSC university Moscow, Prof Oleg Solbotchikov, Rector of University of World Civilization Moscow, Mr. Nikita Berezin, Deputy of State Duma, Prof Dr. Zabta Khan, VC FUUAST Islamabad and others will speak at the forum.
Speaking at the inaugural session, Ambassador Faisel Niaz Tirmizi underscored the growing convergence of views between Pakistan and Russia on regional connectivity, trade, and people-to-people exchanges, reflecting a shared commitment to pragmatic cooperation and new avenues of collaboration across Eurasia. highlighted exploring opportunities. Recalling the tragic APS attack of 16 December 2014 in Peshawar, in which 132 children were killed, he noted that Russia had suffered a similar tragedy in 2004, when 186 children lost their lives.
Senator Mushahid Hussain, speaking at the forum, highlighted Pakistan's foreign policy priorities towards Eurasian region and noted that Pakistan and Russia both remain committed towards progress of Global South. Russian Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Albert Khorev and Mr. Alexey Pavlovsky, Director of Second Asia of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs while highlighting bilateral relations between Pakistan and Russia expressed that public diplomacy has entered a new era, with networks of experts and academics forming the foundation for strengthening relations between the two countries.
