Pakistan’s new Ambassador to Romania, Ilyas Mehmood Nizami, presented his letters of credence to President of Romania, H.E. Mr. Nicosur Dan, in a dignified ceremony held, today, at the Cotroceni Palace in Bucharest. Following the presentation of credentials, Ambassador Nizami had an audience with the Honourable President. Ambassador Ilyas Mehmood Nizami conveyed the warm greetings and best wishes from the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan to the President of Romania. He also felicitated the President on the forthcoming National Day of Romania, which is annually celebrated on the first of December. Recalling the history of successful cooperation and collaboration between the two countries, the Ambassador expressed Pakistan’s desire to further expand and strengthen bilateral ties with Romania. He affirmed his commitment to contribute to the promotion of mutually-beneficial cooperation between the two countries. He also briefed the President of Romania about the Government of Pakistan’s focus on accelerating economic growth and development, and the important strides made by Pakistan in the areas of infrastructure development and energy. The ceremony underscored the cordiality in Pakistan-Romania relations. It marked a meaningful step in the ongoing diplomatic engagement between the two countries.
