Federal Minister for Railways Muhammad Hanif Abbasi Extends Warm Congratulations to Romania on its National Day, Reaffirms Pakistan’s Commitment to Deepening Bilateral Ties.

Federal Minister for Railways, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi, attended the National Day of Romania ceremony in Islamabad, representing the Government and people of Pakistan on this significant occasion.

In his address, the Federal Minister warmly congratulated the Government and people of Romania, noting that Romania’s National Day commemorates the Great Union of 1918—a historic moment when diverse regions came together to form a united and modern Romanian state. He highlighted that this day symbolizes the strength of national unity, cohesion, and the resolve to shape a prosperous future.

Speaking on Pakistan–Romania relations, Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi emphasized that Romania is a valued and trusted partner of Pakistan within the European Union and beyond. He noted the longstanding friendly ties between the two nations and appreciated Romania’s cooperation in areas such as trade, education, development, and institutional support. The Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s desire to expand bilateral cooperation and expressed confidence that both countries can further enhance their partnership in the coming years.

The Federal Minister stated that events like today’s celebration provide an opportunity to deepen mutual understanding, strengthen diplomatic engagement, and promote cultural and economic cooperation between Pakistan and Romania.

Extending best wishes to the Romanian people, Muhammad Hanif Abbasi expressed hopes for Romania’s continued peace, growth, and prosperity, reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to further solidifying the friendship between the two nations.
