Empowering Youth for a Global Future: Skills, Opportunity, and National Pride

Islamabad: September 17, 2025

The Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training is proud to announce a landmark achievement in the government’s ongoing mission to empower the youth of Pakistan through practical, market-oriented skills. Recognizing that the nation’s greatest wealth lies in the minds and aspirations of its young people, this initiative represents a pivotal step towards building a globally competitive and skilled workforce.

Under the Prime Minister’s Youth Skill Development Program, the Languages Training Program has been successfully launched through a strategic collaboration between the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC), the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), and the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE). This program exemplifies the government’s vision of transforming Pakistan into a hub of talent, innovation, and global engagement.

The Languages Training Program offers free, high-quality training in vital international languages including Chinese, German, Arabic, Japanese, and Korean. By equipping students with these skills, Pakistan is building bridges of communication and commerce that connect its youth to the global economy.

More than 800 students across Islamabad enrolled in the program, with hundreds successfully completing the rigorous six-month training. These graduates are now equipped not only with language proficiency but also with cultural understanding, new pathways to higher education, and enhanced opportunities for international employment.

Speaking on this occasion, Federal Minister for Education Dr Khalid Maqbool siddiqui reaffirmed the government’s commitment to investing in youth empowerment:

> “This program is our promise to the young people of Pakistan. We will continue to provide them with tools to secure brighter futures, access better jobs, and compete on the international stage.”

Dr Khalid Maqbool siddiqui emphasized that this is just the beginning. The success of the Languages Training Program will serve as a model for future initiatives in skill development and education, ensuring that every young Pakistani has the opportunity to realize their full potential.

Federal Minister Dr Khalid Maqbool siddiqui extends its appreciation to NAVTTC and NUML for their expertise and dedication, to educators for their tireless efforts, and to students for their commitment and achievements. Their success stands as a proud testament to a new, globally connected Pakistan.
