ULEMA KARAM SUPPORTED AND APPRECIATED NATIONAL ADOLESCENT AND YOUTH POLICY UNDER PMYP DURING CONSULTATIVE SESSION

Ulema Karam Supported and appreciated National Adolescent and Youth policy under PMYP during consultative session. A meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s Office, chaired by Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Program (PMYP), bringing together key stakeholders from PMYP and Ulama Karam. The session focused on discussion on the National Adolescent and Youth Policy (NAYP) — a groundbreaking initiative aimed at uniting and empowering Pakistan’s youth aged 10 to 29 years. The minister for religious affairs Sardar Yousaf was also in attendance. Addressing the gathering, Chairman Rana Mashhood emphasized the need for collective national efforts to build a productive, visionary generation. “This is a historic opportunity to bring our youth — whether they study in schools or madrassas — under one unified vision for national progress,” he stated. The NAYP places a strong emphasis on inclusivity and accessibility. To ensure wide participation, a comprehensive survey has been developed for youth. The meeting saw enthusiastic support from senior religious and governmental figures, Shabir Usmani coordinator to Prime Minister commended Rana Mashhood’s tireless efforts to bridge educational and religious communities, saying, “Ulema must lead efforts in youth education and unity.” Religious Minister Sardar Yousaf Khan hailed the policy’s inclusive design, asserting that “our madrassa students are builders of the nation.” He confirmed the inclusion of all major schools of thought in the policy’s development process. Allama Arif Hussain Wahidi praised the initiative as “brilliant,” recommending collaboration between university scholars and madrassa scholars for integrated youth development. He further encouraged that the policy’s message be actively communicated through mosques and seminaries across the country. Chairman Rana Mashhood concluded the session with a firm commitment to oversee the policy consultative sessions in the first 25 cities of. He urged religious leaders to guide youth towards the diverse opportunities offered under the Digital Youth Hub, including interest-free loans, skills development, and educational advancement. This visionary policy marks a significant step toward inclusive national development, ensuring that all segments of Pakistan’s youth — regardless of background — are empowered, engaged, and prepared to lead the nation into a prosperous future.
