The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & Human Resource Development (OP&HRD), the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation (OPF), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) have successfully facilitated the repatriation of Pakistani nationals from Morocco. The mortal remains of four Pakistanis arrived from Morocco on Flight No. SV 722, at Islamabad International Airport. The Director General (DG) of MoFA, DG Welfare & Services, and other dignitaries received the bodies and extended full support to the grieving families. Speaking on the occasion, the DG MoFA highlighted the dangers of illegal migration, urging parents to educate their children on the importance of legal and safe pathways for overseas employment. He emphasized that the government is actively working to curb human trafficking and ensure structured migration processes. He also advised people to invest their resources in legal employment opportunities rather than paying huge sums to human traffickers. He warned that illegal migration not only puts individuals at risk but also negatively impacts genuine travelers, making visa approvals more difficult. As a responsible nation, he stressed, it is essential to follow legal procedures for seeking opportunities abroad. At the airport, a collective dua was offered for the departed souls before their mortal remains were handed over to their families. Under the directives of Pakistan Sweet Home CEO Zamarud Khan, ambulances were provided to transport the bodies to their hometowns. So far, eight out of 13 bodies have been received, while the remaining five are expected next week. Officials expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss and reiterated their commitment to preventing such incidents in the future. Families were once again urged to discourage illegal migration and opt for safe, legal channels for overseas employment.
