Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Muhammad Khalid Jamali called on His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Rus’, Head of the Russian Orthodox Church, today. His Holiness Patriarch Kirill emphasized the importance of carrying out dialogue with Muslim countries to promote and preserve our common religious values. He also highlighted Russia’s rich religious history and strong cooperation between Orthodox Christians and Muslims of the country. The Ambassador greatly appreciated the existence of an inspirational interfaith harmony within Russia. In this regard, he credited the Russian political and religious leadership in achieving this remarkable homogenization and promoting culture of tolerance in a multi-religious society, such as Russia.
