Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day was celebrated at Pakistan High Commission Pretoria, South Africa in a graceful ceremony. Acting High Commissioner Mr. Fahad Amjad hoisted the flag on the heart-warming tunes of the national anthem played in the background. Special message of the President and the Prime Minister for the 77th Independence Day, were read out to the audience on the occasion. The Acting High Commissioner recalled the historic significance of 14th august in the light of two-nation theory and the sacrifices and struggle of out leaders and forefathers which let to the creation of Pakistan. He stressed that the innocent Kashmiris are looking up to the International community for solidarity and it is the responsibility of all peace loving people of the world to stand with the Kashmiris in their just struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination. The celebrations were attended by a large number of Pakistani community members with families who had gathered from various cities of South Africa. Special prayers were held for Pakistan’s progress and prosperity.
