A meeting of the committee to identify properties above 1000 sqyds for the utilization in PPP mode under the chairmanship of federal minister for law and justice division was held on 18th may 2023.officials from ministry of railways, civil Aviation authority, and housing were present in the meeting. Progress with the decisions made in the last meeting was discussed. In the previous meeting Ministry of Railways and civil Aviation were asked to prepare a presentation regarding tha data of properties above 1000 sqyds for utilization in PPP mode. The objective of the committee is to make these lands profitable for the state, to avoid encroachments and extra expenses.representative from ministry of railways apprised the honourable Minister about the land record management information system and the data collected through that system. the honourable Minister was of the view that high rise apartments should be constructed for residential purposes of govt employees to minimize govt expenses and increase the affordability.Representative from Aviation also briefed the members of the committee about the details of land. It was suggested by the Members of the committee that Govt should provide protection for the initiation of development projects on available lands. The honorable Law minister Directed the housing ministry to complete the survey regarding the collection of data so that it can be presented before the cabinet. Law minister also suggested that alternate measures should be taken to provide replacement and reallocation should be done for the residents of these govt properties so that the land can be used for revenue generation.
