PRESENCE OF LOCUST SWARMLET, TALUKA NAGARPARKAR, DISTRICT THARPARKAR: NLCC
Islamabad: August 7, 2020

National Locusts Control Centre (NLCC) claimed on Friday that presence of Locust Swarmlet, Taluka Nagarparkar, District Tharparkar. Reportedly, a swarm of Locust of at least 2 Sq km entered in general area Choorio and Bharano in the morning from Indian side. Department of Plant Protection traced swarm let, however, it went back to Indian Rajasthan due direction of wind. However, operation was executed on remnant Locust. In addition hopper bands have been found in the area on which con op was also exec and same will be resumed in the morning.
