PR No. 124 Pakistan & Bahrain to expand Economic Ties : Javed Malik Islamabad: June 16, 2016

Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Bahrain, Javed Malik had  detailed meeting with Zayed Al Zayani, Commerce Minister of Bahrain at the Ministry of Commerce  to discuss ways to expand the economic relations between both countries, says a Press Release received from Bahrain here today. While highlighting the business, trade and investment opportunities in Pakistan Ambassador Javed Malik proposed the formation of Pakistan Bahrain Opportunities Forum which would pave the way for closer cooperation between both
countries and their people.  He said that Pakistan & The Kingdom of Bahrain share a very special and historic relationship that can be traced back to decades and our close geographical proximity makes us natural trading partners. and therefore it was agreed to adopt a joint strategy aimed at taking Pakistan-Bahrain Economic and trade relations to a new level.

Commerce Minister Zayed Al Zayani, welcomed the
suggestions and proposals by Ambassador Javed Malik , and said that Bahrain regards Pakistan as one of the most important countries, and our close fraternal relations are a source of strength for the people of both countries. It was agreed to organise a series of activities in Bahrain and Pakistan to give a boot to our bilateral ties.  It was also agreed to hold the Pakistan-Bahrain Business Conference 2016 in
Bahrain followed by a visit by the Commerce Minister to Pakistan in which he would meet the business community, and the leadership of the country.
