“Major electronics player to engage SMEs so that this hand holding could improve SMEs performance and contribution in the National growth" said Adviser to the Prime Minister Abdul Razak Dawood in a meeting with Pakistan Electronics Association here in Islamabad. Delegation, comprising of various companies namely Haier, PEL, Gree, Orient and waves, met adviser to the Prime Minister to discuss various challenges, performance and potential of the electronics sector of Pakistan. Delegation informed that Electronic sector is becoming competitive but smuggling is among a threat to the industry. The delegation also requested policy intervention especially the tariff support to make the sector competitive. Adviser to the Prime Minister Abdul Razak Dawood assured the delegation of the required policy support and shared his vision of making electronics sector an export oriented sector.
