ENERGAS Terminal Private Limited gave presentation on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) to Federal Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources Ghulam Sarwar Khan at the Committee Room of the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) on Thursday. The presentation was given by Chief Executive Officer ENERGAS Terminal Private Limited, Anser Ahmed Khan. Secretary Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) MianAsadHayaud Din was also present in the meeting. The meeting was told that demand and supply management remains the most critical issue for long term LNG contract. Demand seasonality is a common issue across the world and is managed in various ways. It was told that Pakistan’s private industry has the ability to secure LNG on competitive basis, increase competition and ensure higher transparency in LNG supply agreements. LNG offers a competitive solution to secure gas for Pakistan’s increasing demand.The meeting was told Pakistan Regas cost is higher despite capacity subscription by the government.
