Abdul Razak Dawood, Advisor to Prime Minister on Textile, Commerce, Industry & Production and Investment hold a meeting with the Cement Industries Association in review of cement supply demand situation and prices in Pakistan. Cement Industries Association told the Advisor that Cement industry is full filling the need of the county; Pakistani companies exporting clinker to Bangladesh are doing so via the sea route. The demand for clinker in Bangladesh has gone up and its prices have also gone up, Association added “It’s a good breathing space for Pakistani cement manufacturers to export our surplus clinker to Bangladesh and other parts of the world. Abdul Razak Dawood said Cement Industries should be ready for increase production capacity along with the increased demand from housing infrastructure projects portray a positive picture for the future of Pakistan’s cement sector.
