PR No. 208 Dr. Fehmida felicitated players won Gold and Bronze medals in 18th Asian Games and 3rd Asian Para Games Islamabad: October 26, 2018

Federal Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Dr. Fehmida Mirza congrats Mr. Arshad Nadeem, who won Bronze medal in 18th Asian Games 2018, and Mr Haider Ali, who won two Gold Medals and one Bronze medal in 3rd Asian Para Games 2018. The Minister acknowledged and appreciated the fact that despite having limited sports facilities in the country, Pakistani players are performing well. “ Our players are our best ambassadors and are responsible for raising our flag high.” She said. The Minister underscored the need for a comprehensive National policy for sports based on input from the provinces and other stakeholders. It was also told that a summary for rewards, particularly for the Para Olympics players, has already moved to the Prime Minister for approval. The Minister reiterated the Government’s commitment to improve sports standards and facilities in the country. *** ?
