Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Dr. Fehmida Mirza chaired briefing at Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) on Wednesday. Director General Pakistan Sports Board Arif Ibrahim briefed the Federal Minister about the organization and functions of Pakistan Sports Board. Federal Minister Fehmida Mirza was also apprised about the sports facilities at Sports Complex Islamabad and PSB coaching centres at Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta. The Federal Minister was told that 42 sports federations are affiliated with Pakistan Sports Board. The meeting was attended by senior officers of Ministry of Inter-Provincial Coordination and Pakistan Sports Board. Meanwhile, Federal Minister Dr. Fehmida Mirza telephoned Pakistan’s Karate player Nargis Hazara and congratulated her for winning bronze medal in Karate in 18th Asian Games 2018. The Federal Minister highly appreciated Pakistani Karate player Nargis and said that she performed brilliantly and brought fame to Pakistan. The Federal Minister also congratulated Arshad Nadeem for winning bronze medal in Javeline throw in Asian Games. The Federal Minister hoped that Nargis Hazara and Arshad Nadeem continue to bring laurels to country in future also. Federal Minister Dr. Fehmida Mirza also telephoned Pakistan Kabbadi team Manager Rai Masood and congratulated him for winning bronze medal by Pakistan’s Kabbadi team in Asian Games 2018. The Federal Minister said Pakistan has great talent in the field of sports and our youth should participate in games as healthy body contains healthy mind. She also telephoned Pakistan Hockey team Manager Hassan Sardar and talked about Pakistan hockey team performance.
