President Mamnoon Hussain has said that credit goes to the PSL for reviving the international cricket in Pakistan and terrorism has been defeated by the successful holding of this mega event. The huge participation of the people in these matches has sent a message to the world that Pakistan is a peaceful and sports loving nation, he added. The President said this while talking to Islamabad United Team (Winner of PSL-III) led by Syed Ali Raza Naqvi which called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Monday. The President emphasized that the revival of cricket will also boost the sports industry of the country. He underlined that promotion of sports will further strengthen the economy of Pakistan, especially it will create employment opportunities in sports goods industry. He underscored that sportsman spirit and tolerance are of utmost importance in all sports. He stated that we have huge expectation from young players like Shadab Khan, Hussain Talat, Asif Ali and Shibzada Farhan. He stressed that players should focus on their fitness. He advised the young players to follow the footsteps of Misbah ul Huq and Youns Khan in order to win laurels for the country.
