President Mamnoon Hussain said that Eisenhower Fellowships Programme has rendered remarkable services in human resource development. The fellows of this institution are performing invaluable services for the humanity, he added. The President said this while talking to the President of Eisenhower Fellowships George de Lama who along with a delegation called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad on Thursday. Chief Operating Officer Indus Hospital Karachi Abdul Bari Khan and other fellows of the Eisenhower Fellowships were also present on the occasion. The President stated that Eisenhower Fellowships Programme is playing a significant role in the training of the experts of various fields of life. He expressed his pleasure that Pakistani scholars have been associated with this programme from the beginning and are engaged in the service of country and humanity. He emphasized that such institutions play a commendable role in imparting education and the human resource development. He hoped that the cooperation between Pakistan and Eisenhower Fellowships will continue to grow in future. The President underscored that Pakistan has been hugely affected by terrorism in the region thousands of Pakistani have made enormous sacrifices of both life and property in this war, he added. He further highlighted that Pakistani diaspora is playing a vibrant role in the progress and development of America and these peoples are like a bridge between the both countries. On this occasion, President Eisenhower Fellowships George de Lama said that he had a very pleasant and memorable visit of Pakistan.
