PR No.30 AGREEMENT SIGNED BETWEEN KOREA AND PAKISTAN FOR EMPLOYMENT OF PAKISTANI WORKERS IN SOUTH KOREA FOR ANOTHER TWO YEARS I.E.2018 – 19. Islamabad: March 07, 2018

In a ceremony held at the Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis & HRD today, the Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and HRD, Pir Syed Sadruddin Shah Rashidi signed an MoU with South Korea for employment of Pakistani workers in Korea through Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC) for two years i.e. 2018-19. Secretary OP&HRD, Dr. Muhammad Hashim Popalzai, Honourable ambassador of Korea in Pakistan, H.E Mr. Kwak Seong Kyu, Managing Director OEC, Dr. Amer Sheikh and other senior officers of the Ministry and OEC were also present on the occasion. The Federal Minister welcomed the Korean side for giving the Government of Pakistan an opportunity to send Pakistani workers to South Korea through a transparent and efficient mechanism. His Excellency, Mr. Kwak Sung-Kyu, the Ambassador in his address appreciated the cooperation between the Ministry of OP&HRD and Ministry of Employment and Labour, Korea for employment of skilled and dedicated labour from Pakistan. He expressed that this cooperation will further improve in the days to come.
