Afghan Ambassador to Pakistan Dr. Hazrat Omar Zakhilwal met National Security Adviser Lt. General Nasser Khan Janjua this afternoon. Besides future prospects of Pak-Afghan relations, matters concerning regional security and stability also came under discussion.
Afghan Ambassador said that together Pakistan and Afghanistan have a great future and together we can be a gate way to South Asia. He also stressed the need to enhance cooperation and to expedite efforts to mitigate mistrust and hostility between the two countries
NSA assured that Pakistan envisages cordial and brotherly bilateral relations with Afghanistan based on mutual trust and cooperation. He reiterated that Pakistan believes in a shared vision of brighter future with Afghanistan. “we need to put our act together to carve a great future” he urged.
Both sides agreed to enhance the level of mutual engagements and interaction according to the framework agreed at London in coming days.
