While putting the emphasis on capacity building and to elevate the standards of all Civil Aviation Institutions, Advisor to Prime Minister on Aviation Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan asserted it a call of contemporary era. He directed to focus on designing all curriculums in the light of different international universities and asserted to develop national and international collaboration with renowned institutions of Civil Aviation, particularly engineering and technical adding that it is the need of an hour.

            He expressed these views during his surprise visit to the Civil Aviation Training Institute (CATI) in Hyderabad here on Thursday. Besides Director General CAA, Air Marshal (R) Asim Suleiman and Additional DGCAA AVM Usaid ur Rehman, senior officials of Aviation Division were also present on the occasion.

            He visited the different sections of the institute and instructed to upgrade all the facilities and said that it is a call of present era to modernize all resources for getting desired output. A detailed briefing was also given to the Adviser regarding the working and performance of the institute.

            Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan instructed the concerned officials not only to upgrade the facilities of CATI with special focus on designing latest curriculum but also the capacity building training of faulty in order to full fill  contemporary demands of the market.

            He underlined the need of designing all curriculums in the light of different International standards and asked to develop national and international collaboration with renowned institutions. He emphasized on the induction of capacity building and said that training workshops and courses should be conducted in order to give exposure to the trainees, faculty members and staff.

            Advisor to PM directed that training institute should be upgraded to world class standards in all respects adding that not only best training faculty should be deployed here but also curriculum of different disciplines should be according to best standards of aviation. He said collaboration with best aviation institutes especially with best national and international universities be enhanced and asked Civil Aviation Authority to take assistance from Korean institutions for technical disciplines.

            Mehtab asked the faculty members and staff of the institute to realize their responsibilities and improve the performance of institute to get the maximum. He further directed the DG CAA to ensure the provision of best available facilities, “faculty should be top of class and they must be given exposure of world best institutes, and then after capacity building they should remain part of institute”, he added. He said that exchange faculty programs should be launched and standards should be upgraded to meet best institutes of region so that whole environment should be attractive for international trainees.
