On the second day of his four day official visit to Chine, Chairman Senate visited the “Great Wall” of China along with the delegation. Afterwards, he visited Huwavei’s head office in Beijing. Huwavei’s top leadership welcomed the Chairman and his delegation and briefed them about Huwavei in particular its investment in Pakistan. He informed that Huwavei was willing to take part in IT development in Pakistan. Huwavei has a total of 1,700 employees in Pakistan and has offices in Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Quetta. Huwavei has a total investment of US$ 300 million in Pakistan. Huwavei invites Pakistani students for training programmes. Next year, Huwavei will invite IT officials from Pakistan for training. Huwavei is also involved in donation for disabled people in Pakistan. Chairman Senate called Huwavei a “success story” and appreciated their efforts in earthquake relief efforts, job opportunities and training of personnel. Chairman Senate asked Huwavei leadership to assist in automated vote count.

Chairman Senate paid a visit to CPPCC office and saw the museum of CPPCC where he was briefed about the history of CPPCC. Afterwards the Vice Chairman of National Committee of CPPCC met the Chairman Senate and also hosted an official dinner for the Chairman and the delegation. During the meeting between the two leaders, they discussed the “all-weather strategic cooperative partnership” between the two countries and underscored the importance of the bilateral relationship for the two countries. The Vice Chairman of CPPCC fondly recalled his memories from his last visit to Pakistan in 2013. He gave a brief introduction of CPPCC and also briefed the Chairman regarding China’s Economy. Chairman Senate thanked the Vice Chairman of CPPCC for the warm hospitality extended to him and his delegation. He underscored the significance of CPEC for the benefit of China, Pakistan and the whole region. He briefed his Chinese interlocutor about the Senate of Pakistan. Chairman Senate invited the Vice Chairman to visit Pakistan in 2016, which was accepted by the Vice Chairman.
