Finance Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar hereon Saturday chaired a meeting of the senior officials of the Government of Punjab including Chief Secretary Khizar Hayat Gondal, Secretary Food as well as officials of the Finance Department. Finance Minister Punjab, Ayesha Ghaus Pasha was also present on the occasion.
Finance Minister, Punjab on this occasion gave a detailed presentation to the Finance Minister on the financial reforms being undertaken by the Punjab Government. Minister Dar appreciated the reforms process and said that it is through the consistent and comprehensive reforms undertaken by the PML-N Government that a remarkable economic turnaround has been achieved which has been recognized by all prominent financial institutions of the world. He assured the Punjab Government of Federal Government’s full support in the reform process.
The meeting also reviewed the implementation status of the Prime Minister’s Kissan Package. The Finance Minister said that the package is a manifestation of the importance that the present government attaches to the well being of the farmers community in the country. He emphasized effective implementation of the package and said that all necessary measures should be taken in this regard.
He further expressed the hope that all officials concerned would do their best to enable farmers community in the province avail benefits of the Kissan package.
