PR No.23 Pakistan Has Been Elected As The Member Of Executive Board Of UNESCO Last Evening Islamabad: December 2, 2015

Pakistan secured the seat of executive board member by getting 135 votes out of total 183 cast votes. The victory is being seen as the recognition by the world of principled stand taken by the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his government on various issues of international significance.

It’s a matter of great privilege and honor for Pakistan, said Minister of State for Federal Education Engr Muhammad Baligh Ur Rehman. Pakistan will now be able to get unique and exclusive opportunities to contribute towards the policies of UNESCO in the domain of education, culture and social uplift. We are determined to make use of this position in a positive and effective manner.
