Pakistan was the Special Guest of Honor at the Multicultural and
Multilanguage Festival organized by the Mayor of Avon near Paris. The event was
part of 70 years celebrations of Pakistan’s Independence, where Pakistan’s
cuisine, culture and social manifests, handicrafts, Truck art, photographic
exhibition and tradition dresses of Pakistan were showcased, says a press
release received here today from Paris.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to France MoinulHaque along-with Ms.
Nouhaud Marie-Charlotte, the Mayor of Avon inaugurated the festival. Many stalls
set by the Embassy and members of Pakistani Community presented cultural
heritage, handicrafts, traditional dresses and cuisine of Pakistan. A
photographic exhibition of beautiful Pakistani landscapes was also organized at
the occasion.
While addressing the inaugural ceremony
the Ambassador paid tribute to the Mayor for making Pakistan a focus of the
festival and for her support to the members of Pakistani community living in her city.
Mayor of Avon in her address appreciated the contributions of
Pakistani community to make the Festival a success. She noted that Pakistani
Community was hard working and peace loving and an important part of Avon’s
social fabric.
The people from all walks of life took great interest in the
handicrafts, truck art, cuisine and ready-made garments of Pakistan.
