PR No.278 AUSTRIA AND PAKISTAN ENJOY CORDIAL RELATIONS AND HAVE GREAT DESIRE TO STRENGTHEN BROTHERLY RELATIONS Islamabad

National day of Austria was celebrated in the Embassy of Austria in Islamabad. Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Minister for Defence Production was invited as Chief Guest by H.E Dr. Brigitta Blaha, the Ambassador of Austria. Speaking on occasion, Rana Tanveer Hussain said that it is a matter of profound honour and prestige for him to participate in the National Day Celebration of Austria.

Minister also said that Austria and Pakistan enjoy cordial relations and have great desire to proceed further and strengthen brotherly ties by increasing cooperation in areas like bilateral trade, investment, energy and institution building. Rana Tanveer Hussain said that Pakistan is focusing on creating sustained economic growth for which Pakistan admires support of friends like Austria. Minister stressed to identify areas of mutual interest so that both countries may move ahead. He expressed his satisfaction that two countries have very warm and strong relations which are growing stronger with each passing moment. Rana Tanveer Hussain congratulated the gathering, Ambassador and people of Austria on their National Day on behalf of the people of Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
