The Chairman OPF Board of Governors, Barrister Amjad Malik called on H.E Ibn e Abbass the High Commissioner for Pakistan in London, UK at Pakistan High Commission and appreciated High Commission’s efforts in getting
the NADRA surgeries resumed in the UK. Barrister Malik also updated on his
efforts for the welfare of the overseas Pakistanis.

 

The High Commissioner termed the resumption of NADRA surgeries a good step of the government for the facilitation of the Pakistani community in the UK. He
also commended Barrister Malik’s proactive role at the OPF for looking after the
interests of the expatriate community of Pakistan.

 

Both the dignitaries discussed matters of mutual interest regarding expatriates and discussed how to address their wishes and grievances and promote investment and better our services and governance with performance and accountability.

 

OPF chair briefed the initiatives taken since the new Board was appointed by the Prime Minister of Pakistan on 29 April 2016. The Chairman OPF thanked the high commissioner for raising and supporting on the issues of Nadra and both agreed to continue jointly raising the remaining issues. The High commissioner assured maximum assistance to the BoG and MD OPF, Habib ur Rehman Gilani in this regards.

 

Deputy high commissioner Dr Israr Ahmed, Press counsellor Munir Ahmed, and community counsellor were also present at the meeting. The Chairman OPF congratulated deputy high commissioner on his appointment as ambassador in EU.
