President Mamnoon Hussain has reiterated Pakistan’s continued diplomatic, political and moral support to the oppressed Kashmiris in their struggle against foreign occupation.

 

The President said this while talking to Prime Minister of Azad Jammu & Kashmir (AJ&K) Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Tuesday.

 

Strongly condemning the ongoing Indian brutalities in the held Kashmir, the President emphasized that Pakistan will continue to use diplomatic channel to draw the attention of the international community toward grave human rights violations by the Indian security forces. The President stressed that peace will remain elusive in the region unless the decades old issue of Kashmir is resolved.

 

The President congratulated Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan on being elected as Prime Minister of AJ&K and hoped that under his sagacious leadership the newly elected public representatives will work with dedication for the well being of the people. The President expressed his satisfaction at the successful holding of recent election in Azad Jammu & Kashmir and smooth transition of power to the next elected government.

 

President Mamnoon Hussain advised AJ&K Prime Minister to focus on providing all basic facilities to the people of AJ&K to further improve their standard of life. The President emphasized for ensuring good governance and transparency in carrying out all development projects and their timely completion.

 

Prime Minister Azad Jammu & Kashmir apprised President Mamnoon Hussain about various development initiatives and expressed commitment to work devotedly for the welfare of the people of the region.

 

President Mamnoon Hussain wished the newly elected Prime Minister AJ&K well in discharge of his new responsibilities.
