President Mamnoon Hussain, while appreciating the humanitarian activities of Pakistan Red Crescent during natural disasters, has underlined that in order to further augment its performance all organizations of PRC should be brought under one platform and in this regard all necessary requirements should be completed.

The President said this on the occasion of a briefing by Pakistan Red Crescent (PRC) here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, Islamabad. Chairman PRC Dr. Saeed Elahi and other high officials were also present.

The President directed that comprehensive strategy should be devised for readying trained manpower for effectively dealing with natural disasters and accidents so that quality of services is improved and Pakistan is able to assist its neighbours in such situations. He further stated that in this regard PRC should first seek cooperation from educational institutions and prepare a solid strategy for setting up of a permanent university.

President Mamnoon Hussain underscored the need for devising a collective code to bring improvement in the provincial branches of PRC adding in this way the performance of PRC could be further improved. He directed to establish contacts between institutions rendering services in different walks of life and PRC so that humanitarian activities could be more effective.

On the occasion, Chairman PRC briefed the President about various activities and services of PRC. Praising the services of PRC, the President called for further enhancing its scope adding that it should, in coordination with national research institutions, take effective measures for providing relief to the people of backward areas.
