The Ministry of National Health Services signed a Letter of Understanding with Medibank Trust here today.
The LoU was signed at a special signing ceremony held at the Ministry of National Health Services by Muhammad Ayub Sheikh, Secretary Ministry of National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination and Javed Nisar Syed, Patron-in-Chief Medibank Trust.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary National Health Services Muhammad Ayub Sheikh said under this agreement pledges its fullest support in providing platforms, facilitating networking and linkages to Medibank Trust reach the deserving.
In line with the agreement signed today we will facilitate close linkages between Medibank Trust and Prime Minister’s National Health Program. Alongside this we will also facilitate collaboration of the trust with other ongoing healthcare initiatives; he added.
Our Ministry has adopted policies that are pro-poor policies and focus on taking the services to the marginalized and deprived segments. Be it facilitating availability of generic medicines, providing free treatment to T.B. patients across Pakistan, provision of free medicines to HIV-AIDS patients or through the landmark Prime Minister’s National Health Program, an initiative that caters exclusively to the health needs of those below the poverty line providing the enrolled families with top quality services through both public and private sector health facilities.
He called upon the philanthropists, public and private sector, civil society organizations and every Pakistani to come forward and play their role for ailing humanity in collabration with the Medibank trust in furthering this mission.
Speaking on the occasion, Javed Nisar Syed expressed gratitude to the Ministry of National Health Services for supporting the noble cause. He said his trust which has support of corporate sector and civil society continues to work with full devotion to ameliorate the sufferings of ailing humanity through provision of free medicnines to the poor and deserving.
