Chairman Foreign Economic Relations Board Turkey (DEIK) Mr. Omer Cihad Vardan called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at PM House here today.

Warmly welcoming the guest, who is here for A Pakistan-Turkey Business Roundtable event organized to follow up on the recent visit of the CM Punjab to Turkey, the Premier said that throughout the history of our two countries, Pakistan and Turkey have lent support to each other through the most difficult times. The goodwill and friendship of the Turkish people toward Pakistan was recently underscored by the unprecedented welcome accorded to the CM Punjab during his recent visit to Turkey.

The Chairman reciprocated with the similar sentiments by appreciating the leadership provided by the Prime Minister in forging ever stronger ties between the countries. The PM said that Pakistan and Turkey are brotherly countries with a common history, and they should make it a priority to strengthen their relations in every aspect.

The PM Invited the Turkish side for exploring the possibility to enter into Pakistan Financial, manufacturing, infrastructure and energy Sectors.

Federal Minister for Commerce and Trade Mr. Khurram Dastgir, SAPM Mr. Tariq Fatemi and chairman BOI Mr. Mifta Ismail were also present during the meeting.
