PR No. 14 Karachi: September 1, 2016.

The Secretary ECP Mr. Babar Yaqoob Fateh Muhammad held a detailed with the Chief Secretary (Sindh) in Karachi in connection with collection of Geo Coordinates data of all the polling stations for GIS Polling Stations Projects. D.G-IT ECP briefed the meeting about the significance of the ‘GIS Polling Stations Project’ which would lead to more accuracy and transparency of polling schemes. The plan envisages a nationwide exercise to have all polling stations in the country Geo tagged in the upcoming General Elections. The Chief Secretary (Sindh) was requested to provide assistance to carry out this gigantic task in the stipulated time.

The Chief Secretary (Sindh) extended his full support in this significant project and promised to accomplish it on time. He also nominated Secretary (Implementation) as Focal Person for coordination with the PEC Office (Sindh) and the ECP.
