Raja Farooq Haider, Prime Minister AJ&K called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at PM House today.
Congratulating Raja Farooq Haider on his election as the Prime Minister AJ&K, the Prime Minister expressed the confidence that the newly elected government will tirelessly work for the progress and prosperity of the people of AJ&K. ‘The people have overwhelmingly shown their trust in our manifesto and now it our collective responsibility to serve them. Developmental and infrastructure projects must be proactively pursued and completed so that the people of AJK get the benefits of our developmental agenda’, said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister said that merit and transparency must be maintained in the award and fulfilment of all public sector projects. ‘All developmental projects must aim at improving the life standard of the people. Better communication and roads networks will certainly open up the most beautiful areas of AJK to the world and will enhance the economic activities in that region, said the Prime Minister.
The Prime Minister said that the Federal Government would ensure all possible assistance to the elected government of AJ&K in its pursuit to improve the state of affairs. ‘We are enormously grateful to the people for their confidence, it is now our responsibility to perform and deliver, added the Prime Minister.
Thanking the Prime Minister, Raja Farooq Haider assured the Prime Minister that the newly elected government of AJ&K will initiate all necessary steps to implement the leadership’s vision in true letter and spirit. He said that the elected government would serve the people without considering their political affiliations; as the government has the mandate for the entire AJ&K.
Mr Pervaiz Rashid, Minister for Information and Dr Asif Kirmani, SAPM were present during the meeting.
