Federal Minister for National Food Security & Research Mr. Sikandar Khan Bosan was the Chief Guest here in National Agriculture Research Center at a ceremony to commemorate the services of Late Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad and also to name the FAO Conference Hall after his name. At the occasion, the Federal Minister paid rich tribute to the services rendered by the late scientist in the field of agriculture; he left a rich legacy for the aspiring scientists in the form of his publications. The agriculture research is vital for the country and we are in need of more scientists who could take along the legacy of late Dr. Iftikhar. I appreciate & fully support the little gesture of FAO to commemorate his work by naming the conference hall after his name. This will inspire future scientists & in the future meetings in this very hall would show our gratitude for his work in the field of agriculture.
Federal Minister reiterated that our government has resolved to bring revolution in the field of agriculture and achieve food security and for this to materialize we need researchers and scientists. We are up for our appreciation to these scientists who have taken up the task of bringing revolution in the field of agriculture research. We shall always remember his services and it is hoped that we shall have more scientists like him.
