PR No. 160 COUNTRY DIRECTOR OF ASIAN DEVELOPMENT BANK CALLED ON AUDITOR GENERAL OF PAKISTAN Islamabad

The country Director of Asian Development Bank Mr. Werner Liepach called on the Auditor General of Pakistan Rana Assad Amin in his office on 26^th July 2016. The meeting was held in a cordial atmosphere. The ADB country Director requested the Auditor General for cooperation in audit of development projects sponsored by the Asian Development Bank in Pakistan.

The Auditor General assured that audit will be conducted very professionally in accordance with the international standards and best practices. The ADB country Director also expressed willingness to provide support to the Auditor General’s Department in capacity building and training. The Auditor General of Pakistan proposed that ADB may assist his department in implementing the Strategic Plan for 2015-19 in the interest of accountability, transparency and good governance.

The ADB country director assured that he would consider the proposal for positive support. The meeting ended with mutual vote of thanks.
