Khwaja M.Asif, Mnister of Defence, welcomed the Turkish delegation. He Conveyed appreciation on democratic initiatives of Mr. Recep Tayyip ERDOGAN, the President of Republic of Turkey. He Congratulate on formation of new Government under the Prime Minister YALDRAM .He Congratulated Mr.  Fikri ISIK, on his appointment as new Minister of National Defence of the Republic Turkey. He Shared condolences and sympathies on suicidal attacks in Istanbul and Ankara .He Appreciated exemplary and historical relations between Pakistan and Turkey. He Reiterated Pakistan’s strong desire to deepen, broaden and strengthen its partnership with Turkey in defence fields. He Pointed out that both countries cooperate closely at the regional and multinational for a through the platforms of UN, OIC, ECO and D-8.

Turkish participation in trilateral process on Afghanistan is a source of encouragement. He Reiterated Pakistan’s desire for peaceful and stable Afghanistan through Afghan own and Afghan led process. He Appreciated formulation of a trilateral Arrangement between Pakistan-Qatar and Turkey, encompassing the fields of training, supply of equipment and technology transfer.

He Expressed satisfaction over successful holding of 11th Round of High Level Military Dialogue Group meeting in Ankara in Oct 2015. Its next session is scheduled in Pakistan in October 2016.He Thanked for construction of PN Tanker Fleet at Karachi Shipyard & Engg Works.

He Reiterated Pakistan’s early desire for acquiring Turkish Trainer-37 aircraft on gratis basis .He Offered sale of Super Mashak aircraft with Turkish specifications. He Appreciate Turkish Ministry of National Defence for completion of Electronic Warfare Test and Training Range Project of PAF at Thai (Pakistan).

He Thanked Turkish Navy participation in Exercise AMAN-13 held in March 2013.He Invited Turkish defence delegation in IDEAS-2016 at Karachi from 22-25 Nov 2016.He Extend thanks for the generous support extended to Pakistan during natural calamities.
